Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 17, 2026
Discuss App (“Discuss App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a communication application developed and operated by Jutt Cyber Tech.
This Privacy Policy explains how Discuss App collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
We believe privacy should be built into the design of a communication service. We therefore aim to collect and retain only information that is reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
By using Discuss App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The information we process depends on how you use Discuss App, which features you enable, and the permissions you grant.
We may process the following categories of information.
1.1 Account Information
When you create or use a Discuss App account, we may process information required to create and maintain your account.
Depending on the registration and authentication methods available in the application, this may include:
- Username or account identifier
- Authentication credentials or authentication-related information
- Public profile information that you choose to provide
- Account identifiers generated by the Service
- Information required to authenticate your account
- Security and authentication events
We do not require users to provide information that is unnecessary for the functionality of the Service.
If a particular registration method requires an email address or another identifier, that information may be processed for account creation, authentication, verification, recovery, or security purposes.
2. Profile Information
You may choose to provide information that is displayed as part of your profile.
Depending on the features available in your version of Discuss App, this may include:
- Username
- Profile name
- Profile picture
- About or biography information
- Other information you voluntarily add to your profile
Information that you intentionally make visible to other users may be accessible to those users.
You should avoid publishing information in your profile that you do not want other users to see.
3. Messages and Communication Content
Discuss App is designed to provide private communication between users.
For supported communications, Discuss App uses End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) to protect message content.
When End-to-End Encryption is correctly implemented and active for a supported communication, the content is encrypted before transmission and is intended to remain inaccessible to our servers in plaintext.
This may include supported:
- Text messages
- Voice notes
- Files
- Images
- Videos
- Other supported communication content
The exact encryption coverage may depend on the feature, application version, device, and implementation available at the time you use the Service.
Important
To further protect user privacy, the encrypted content of messages, voice notes, and files is handled ephemerally. Our servers are designed to act as a temporary transport layer. Once the encrypted content is successfully delivered to all recipient devices associated with the conversation, it is intended to be deleted from our servers.
If a recipient is offline, the encrypted content may be temporarily queued on our servers until the recipient reconnects and the content can be delivered. After successful delivery, the queued content is then deleted.
Limitations of End-to-End Encryption
End-to-End Encryption does not mean that no information whatsoever can exist outside the encrypted content.
For example, technical information required to establish connections, authenticate accounts, deliver communications, prevent abuse, operate the Service, or maintain reliability may still be processed.
End-to-End Encryption also cannot protect information that is voluntarily exposed by a user, captured through screenshots, copied to another application, viewed on an unlocked device, or accessed by someone who has control of the user's device or account.
4. Voice and Video Calls
Discuss App may provide voice and video communication features.
Depending on the calling implementation and supported feature, technical information may be processed to establish, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure calls.
This may include information such as:
- Connection information
- Session information
- Device and application information
- Call state information
- Network-related information
- Security and abuse-prevention information
Where End-to-End Encryption is supported by the specific calling implementation, the protected media is intended to remain accessible only to the participating users.
We do not claim that every communication feature provides identical privacy protections. The protection available to a particular feature depends on the technical implementation of that feature.
5. Voice Notes
If you use voice-note functionality, Discuss App may process the audio required to send, receive, and play the voice note.
Where End-to-End Encryption is supported for voice-note content, the audio is protected before transmission according to the applicable encryption implementation.
Temporary processing may be required on your device or by the Service to provide the requested functionality.
6. Photos, Videos, and Files
Discuss App may allow users to share images, videos, documents, and other supported files.
When you upload or send a file, the Service may process technical information necessary to:
- Upload the file
- Transfer the file
- Associate the file with the appropriate communication
- Allow the intended recipient to retrieve the file
- Manage storage
- Detect technical failures
- Prevent abuse
- Maintain service reliability
Where End-to-End Encryption is supported for the applicable file-sharing feature, the file content is intended to remain protected from server-side plaintext access.
You should not assume that every type of file or media processed by the Service has identical encryption properties. The applicable protection depends on the feature and implementation.
7. Device and Technical Information
When you use Discuss App, certain technical information may be processed automatically as part of operating an online service.
Depending on the platform, configuration, and features you use, this may include:
- IP address
- Device type
- Operating system
- Application version
- Network information
- Connection information
- Session information
- Authentication events
- Security events
- Error information
- Crash or diagnostic information
- Performance information
- Other technical information necessary to operate the Service
We use this information primarily for legitimate operational and security purposes, including maintaining connectivity, preventing abuse, detecting attacks, troubleshooting problems, and improving reliability.
We do not use private message content to create advertising profiles.
8. Permissions
Discuss App may request access to device permissions when a particular feature requires them.
Depending on the platform and features you use, permissions may include access to:
- Camera
- Microphone
- Photos or media
- Files or documents
- Notifications
- Network connectivity
- Other platform capabilities required for specific functionality
Permissions are requested because particular features cannot function correctly without the corresponding access.
You can manage available permissions through your device's operating-system settings.
If you deny a permission, the corresponding feature may not function.
Discuss App does not use a permission for a purpose unrelated to the functionality or security purpose for which it is required.
9. Contacts
If Discuss App provides a contact-discovery or contact-related feature that requires access to your device contacts, that access will be requested through the applicable operating-system permission system.
If you grant contact access, information from your contacts may be processed only as necessary to provide the feature for which access was requested.
If the current version of Discuss App does not request contact access, no contact information is collected through that permission.
You can revoke contact access through your device settings where the operating system provides that control.
10. Location Information
Discuss App does not need precise location information for ordinary messaging functionality.
We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location information unless a future feature specifically requires it and the application provides the appropriate disclosure and permission request.
If a feature requiring location information is introduced, the applicable collection, purpose, and permission requirements will be disclosed before or when the feature is used.
11. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
Our website may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, or similar technologies where necessary to provide functionality, maintain sessions, improve security, or remember user preferences.
The mobile application may also use local storage to maintain application state, cached information, encryption-related information, preferences, or other data required for functionality.
Local storage on your device may remain available until it is removed by the application, deleted by you, or removed through your device's operating-system controls.
Deleting application data or uninstalling the application may affect locally stored information and may prevent recovery of information that was stored only on your device.

- Device/application information
- Security events
- Network information
This information may be necessary to establish connections, route traffic, deliver communications, prevent abuse, detect attacks, maintain security, and troubleshoot the Service.
We aim to minimize the amount of metadata collected and the length of time it is retained.
We do not represent that all metadata is immediately destroyed after every communication. Some technical records may be retained for operational, security, legal, or abuse-prevention purposes.
15. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
For example:
- Account information may be retained while your account remains active.
- Security and authentication information may be retained as necessary to protect the Service.
- Operational logs may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and security.
- Certain information may be retained where required for legal compliance.
- Locally stored application information may remain on your device until you remove it or the application removes it.
When information is no longer required for a legitimate purpose, we aim to delete, anonymize, or otherwise de-identify it where reasonably practicable.
Important
Deletion from active systems may not always result in immediate removal from every backup, disaster-recovery system, security record, or legally required archive.
Where backups exist, information may remain in them for a limited period until those backups are naturally overwritten or securely deleted according to applicable retention procedures.
16. Account Deletion
If Discuss App provides account creation, you may request deletion of your account through the available account-management functionality or through the privacy contact provided in this policy.
When a valid account-deletion request is processed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify information associated with the account, subject to:
- Legal obligations
- Security requirements
- Fraud prevention
- Dispute resolution
- Enforcement of agreements
- Backup and disaster-recovery limitations
- Other legitimate retention requirements
Account deletion may be irreversible.
Deleting your account may also prevent access to information that exists only within your account or on your device.
Where applicable, information that must be retained for legal or security reasons will be isolated from ordinary operational use and retained only for the applicable purpose.
17. Information Shared With Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate parts of the Service.
These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide the services they perform.
Depending on the Service architecture and features used, third-party providers may include providers of:

22. Identity Verification
Where Discuss App provides identity-verification mechanisms, such as safety numbers, security codes, QR codes, or similar verification methods, users may use them to verify the identity of another participant.
Identity verification can help reduce the risk of impersonation or man-in-the-middle attacks.
However, users must actually perform the verification correctly for it to provide its intended security benefit.
No identity-verification system can protect a user who knowingly accepts an unverified or incorrect identity.
23. Children's Privacy
Discuss App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would violate applicable law.
We do not knowingly direct the Service toward children where prohibited by applicable law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us in circumstances where we should not have collected it, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Parents or legal guardians may contact us regarding concerns about a child's information.
24. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information.
These rights may include, where applicable:
- The right to know what personal information we process.

We do not sell private communications.
If our practices change in a way that constitutes a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable California law, we will provide the disclosures and choices required by law.
Requests may be subject to reasonable identity verification to protect against unauthorized disclosure.
26. European Economic Area and United Kingdom Privacy Rights
If applicable data-protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply to you, you may have additional rights concerning your personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, these rights may include:
- Access to your personal information.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of information.
- Restriction of processing.
- Objection to processing.

27. International Data Transfers
Depending on where you are located and where our infrastructure or service providers operate, your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence.
Different countries may have different data-protection laws.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will seek to use appropriate legal and technical mechanisms for those transfers.
28. Legal Requests
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, court order, governmental request, or other legally enforceable obligation.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Protect users.
- Protect our employees or service providers.
- Prevent fraud or abuse.
- Investigate security incidents.
- Protect our infrastructure.
- Establish or defend legal claims.
- Enforce our agreements and policies.
Where legally permitted, we may attempt to limit disclosures to the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
End-to-End Encryption may limit the information that we can access from supported encrypted communications. We cannot provide plaintext content that we do not possess or cannot decrypt.
29. Business Transfers
If Jutt Cyber Tech or Discuss App is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information associated with the Service may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
If a transaction materially changes how your personal information is handled, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
30. Data Breaches and Security Incidents
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate the incident and take reasonable steps to contain, remediate, and prevent further unauthorized access.
Where applicable law requires notification to affected users, regulators, or other parties, we will provide the required notification within the legally required timeframe.
Because End-to-End Encryption limits access to supported encrypted content, the impact of a security incident may depend on which systems and types of information are affected.

34. Privacy Principles
Our approach to privacy is based on the following principles:
- Privacy by Design: Privacy and security are considered during the development and operation of the Service.
- Data Minimization: We aim to collect and retain only information reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes.
- Encrypted Communications: Supported private communications use End-to-End Encryption.
- No Advertising Profiles: We do not use private message content to create advertising profiles.
- Controlled Access: Access to sensitive systems is restricted to authorized personnel and services.
- Security: We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information.
- Transparency: We aim to explain our data practices clearly.
- User Control: We provide appropriate mechanisms for users to manage their accounts and privacy choices.
- Limited Retention: We aim not to retain information longer than reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes.
35. Important Limitations
Privacy and security are not absolute guarantees.
Discuss App cannot guarantee protection against every possible threat, including:
- Compromised devices
- Malware
- Stolen credentials
- Phishing
- Social engineering
- Unauthorized access to your device
- Vulnerabilities in third-party operating systems
- Vulnerabilities in third-party services
- Network attacks
- Newly discovered software vulnerabilities

- Screenshots or recordings made by communication participants
End-to-End Encryption protects the communication channel and supported content according to its implementation, but it cannot control what a recipient does with information after receiving it.
For example, a recipient may take a screenshot, photograph a screen with another device, copy information, forward content, or otherwise disclose information.
You should therefore treat privacy as a combination of secure software, secure devices, secure accounts, and responsible user behavior.
36. Relationship Between This Policy and Our Security Pages
Discuss App may publish additional pages explaining security, encryption, messaging, calling, and data-minimization practices.
Those pages provide general explanations and should not be interpreted as replacing this Privacy Policy.
Where a security or feature page provides a simplified explanation, this Privacy Policy governs our broader data-handling practices.
37. Final Statement
Discuss App is designed to provide private, secure, and reliable communication while minimizing unnecessary data collection.
We recognize that metadata and technical information can also be sensitive. For that reason, we aim to minimize the information processed by our systems while still maintaining the security, reliability, abuse prevention, and functionality required to operate the Service.
Our privacy practices may evolve as Discuss App develops. When they do, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notice where required.
