Real-Time Messaging
Discuss App uses an Elixir-based backend running on the Erlang VM (BEAM), which is designed to efficiently handle concurrent connections and real-time communication workloads. Messages, delivery states, read receipts, typing indicators, and other real-time events are transmitted through persistent connections rather than relying on continuous polling.
Multi-Device Synchronization
Your conversations stay synchronized across supported devices. Message delivery status, read status, and other conversation states can be updated across connected devices, helping keep your messaging experience consistent without requiring the application to repeatedly poll the server.
Offline Support
Discuss App is designed to remain usable when your device temporarily loses its internet connection. Messages can be stored locally while you are offline and processed when connectivity is restored. This helps prevent temporary network interruptions from unnecessarily disrupting your conversations.
Media & File Sharing
Discuss App supports sharing photos, videos, voice notes, and documents. Large media files are handled separately from the real-time messaging channel, allowing the messaging connection to remain efficient while media is transferred through dedicated storage and transfer mechanisms.
